So if you are here for the 1st time you maybe wondering what is going on and why this site exists. Simple reason is that the older we get the more we look back with fond memories of what we did and enjoyed when we were younger.
The Baja Kombi Craze which was largely based in and around SE QLD Australia and the Alder Family ( Volks Engineering ) existed in its prime before all these new fangled digital cameras and facebook etc. That means that a lot of the info, pictures and details are not on the web and without some effort probably never will be.
Since the cost of the VW Bus is going up and up I am guessing that less and less Baja Kombi’s will be built and they will simply become and urban myth or be occasional sited at car shows or sitting in car ports on the south side rotting away.
