For a lot of people out there this Silver and Blue Dual Cab was one of the first they ever saw and motivated a lot of the Baja Kombi Community. Built by John from Volks Engineering in Brisbane it is an engineering marvel which was fitted with an inverted Type 2 Transmission powering a set of Kombi Reduction hubs with a type 4 engine.
John and his Team at Volks Engineering were one of the pioneers of the modern Baja Bus community and he and his family are very well known for Lifting Bus’s. Rumour has it they did over 50 during their time in business and still to this day drive and use them as intended.
